Frequently asked questions

How do Finhabits IRAs work?
You can open and manage a Finhabits IRA online or on your smartphone. It takes about 10 minutes to get started, and during that process, we will recommend you an investment portfolio that fits your personal needs. The last step will be connecting a bank account so you can make your contributions. However, you can also roll over your old 401K or IRA accounts to Finhabits. The rest is on us!
What is the difference between a 401(k) and an IRA?
Most people will have multiple retirement accounts by the end of their careers, and those typically are 401(k)s or Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). While a 401(k) is a plan offered and sponsored by employers, an IRA is an account that you can open yourself to save for your retirement and still get some tax advantages.
Can I roll over my old 401(k) or transfer my old IRA to Finhabits?
Yes, you can rollover your old 401(k)s or IRAs to Finhabits. All you have to do is open a Traditional IRA and we’ll walk you through the steps to complete your transfer.
