What is Finhabits?

Finhabits is a fintech company founded by Carlos Garcia in 2015 to improve the financial well-being of Hispanics in the United States.

At 28 years old, our founder Carlos Garcia faced an economic recession in 2008 while working at an investment firm. It was then that he realized the Hispanic community needed to invest more, mainly due to a lack of resources available in Spanish. This personal experience led to the birth of Finhabits, the first investment platform for Hispanics in the United States.

Moreover, at Finhabits, we guide you to develop better financial habits, enabling you to achieve your long-term goals and leave a legacy of wealth for your loved ones.

At Finhabits, we take your trust seriously. We are registered with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission), the U.S. government agency that supervises securities transactions, the activities of financial professionals and mutual fund trading to prevent fraud and intentional deception. We work with Apex Clearing Corporation, which is the custodian of our subscribers’ money. When you deposit money into your investment account, this money is transferred to an account held at Apex. It is important to understand that there is a clear separation between what Finhabits does for you, which is to help you invest, and where your money is. Once the money is invested, those investments go into the selected investment funds, ensuring the security of your money.
